My dear friend and employee Björg is the mother of Daði Freyr who just won our Icelandic song contest. He is going to Rotterdam to sing his famous song "Think about things" in the Eurovision song contest. We decided to make yarn in the color of Daði's sweater and I knitted those "Gagnamagns" socks 🙂 Always fun at work 🙂
Hulduband dyed as the Aurora Borealis. 😊 Now I am on an introduction tour in the North and the first day was a success. So happy with all the lovely visitors. Maybe I will be lucky and see Aurora Borealis at my stay here.
Our super strong 100% sock yarn; dvergasokkar, have made a hit. Nothing better on cold days than warm and cozy woolen socks. In 2020 we will present finer sock yarn which will be called huldusokkar and is the same size as hulduband (aran). It will be exciting to experience what people will think of that yarn.
No plastic is put in our yarn. It is the way we process it that gives its strength. 🧦🧦😊
Christmas is coming closer. I decided to try to work on some Christmas colors. These two with the natural white, sure make a great combo, don't you think? Ideal for any kind of Christmas-knitting, socks, hats, sweater, dresses, skirts, etc...
Send me a message if you fancy any of them for your Christmas presents or decorations.
I got a very pleasant visit today. 🥰Stephen West and Kristy Glass just stopped by to get some yarn.
Few of us got a tiny bit star-struck. 🤩🤭
Dís in autumn colors
The colourful autumn is coming closer. We are going to have dís in some new colours this winter along with the natural colours. Here you can see a small glimpse of our experiments. A bit autumny don’t you think? 🥰
The shelves are stacked with new colours and freshly spun yarn. Dís (fingering) is now available in few variations. Sure is fun to do something nice from that one. 😊
Tröllaband a fun yarn to experiment with
The tröllaband (trollyarn) is fun to make and fun to knit from. Can be used for many different things. 🥰
Baby swaeater made of dís
The new colour of dís turns out nicely in a baby sweater. Gorgeously soft. Want one that fits me. 🤭
The last couple of weeks I have been to knit festivals introducing my products. I have also been at a seminar where I learned to make felted slippers. It was all so great. In the meantime, my machines keep on making beautiful soft wool yarn for my local farmers and my self because the yarn keeps on selling 🙂
