Wool Week Hat

This hat is knitted with two colors – one main color and one pattern color. We suggest using needles 3,5-4,5 mm (4-7 US) and add 10 stitches when using Hulduband. The pattern is included with the purchase.

On 2nd-9th of October we celebrate the Wool Week in South Iceland.

The Wool Week hat was designed in 2020 for the Wool Week that was supposed to take place then, in celebrations of the 30 years anniversary of Thingborg, but unfortunately we had to cancel the event due to the pandemic. The Wool Week was celebrated in 2021 and will be again this year, 2022 – Hopefully this has become a yearly event. We at Uppspuni are proud participants of the Wool Week, along with Thingborg, Spinning sisters and Icelandic Peltsheep farmers. The goal of the Wool Week is to enjoy the week with other producers and fans of the Icelandic Wool.
